I know how you are feeling, because I have been there. I know just how painful bloating can be. I know what it's like to need to know what the bathroom facilities are before you go somewhere. I remember only too well thinking does life have to be like this.

The answer to that last question is that life doesn't have to be like this.

Fifteen years on from my IBS diagnosis, I am symptom free. I don't worry that my waistband might become too tight mid-afternoon. I don't look up where the loos are in advance. I can eat anywhere.

It's a case of understanding what IBS is, what triggers it, and what I can do to avoid those triggers, and to support my digestive system to make it less vulnerable.
